Nissan Australia engaged Seed to help them manage their websites using Alfresco ECM. The Nissan corporate website (www.nissan.com.au) was redesigned in order to provide engaging information about Nissan vehicles to customers and ultimately sell more vehicles. Key considerations were a new site design that was easy to navigate, feature rich and that allowed users to find the information they needed quickly. Nissan Marketing needed the ability to change the site contents quickly in order to respond to marketing campaigns, new and updated products and community feedback. Seed worked with Nissan to develop a new website backed by Alfresco ECMS. “Seed were selected due to their business know-how in implementing an Enterprise Content Management system and their technical expertise with Alfresco." An important aspect of the project was that the information driven component design enabled the creation and management of multiple disparate websites by separate business user groups. In addition, the ECM design allowed business users to choose from a toolkit of display components each tailored to present information optimally for the medium being used (example compenents are multimedia streaming, model comparators, slide shows and photo galleries). A rich user experience was provided by integrating with Nissan’s internal information systems for applications such as Book a Test Drive with your nearest dealer, Finance Calculator and Price Calculator. Other websites implemented by Seed are Nissan Financial Services, Nissan Sports Adventure and Nissan Brand Torque. Seed continue to work with Nissan and are currently working on Special Offers.
